USEFUL INFORMATION

Official Language

The official language of the conference is English.

Climate

Singapore is situated near the equator and has a typically tropical climate, with abundant rainfall, high and uniform temperatures, and high humidity all year round. Many of its climate variables, such as temperature and relative humidity, do not show large month-to-month variation. However, many variables exhibit prominent diurnal (or daily) variations from hour to hour, indicating the strong influence that solar heating has on the local climate.

Electricity

In Singapore, the standard voltage is 230 V, and the frequency is 50 Hz. You can use your electric appliances with the standard voltage (230 V). The power plug sockets are of type G.

To be sure, check the label on the appliance. Some appliances do not need a converter. If the label states 'INPUT: 100-240V, 50/60 Hz', the appliance can be used in all countries around the world. This is common for chargers of tablets / laptops, photo cameras, cell phones, toothbrushes, etc.

The Organisers do not take responsibility for any individual, medical, travel, or personal insurance. Participants are advised to secure their insurance policies before departure from their countries.

While every attempt is made to ensure efficient, trouble-free hospitality, including hotel accommodation, sightseeing, and tours, participants are advised that no liability accrues to the Organisers in the event of any necessary modifications, including change in itineraries for tours due to delays or cancellations of flights / other exigencies beyond the Organisers’ control.
